Web 2.0 On Mobile

Over recent years the web has seen the growth of so-called “Web 2.0 on MobileWeb 2.0 services based around the concept of a two-way information flow, and the empowering of individuals to create and publish their own content and information through blogs, wikis, video sharing, and social networking services. Video content is often central to these services, Web 2.0 allowing the uploading and sharing of content generated by customers, along with the emergence of video advertising on the web.

Access to video content from a wider range of devices including mobile phones, set top boxes, and games consoles is the next logical step, but providing these services with the best possible quality can be problematic. Mobile devices generally have additional constraints regarding the type of content they can support due to CPU, screen size, and power limitations. In contrast to PCs where new codecs and media players can be easily installed or embedded into web browsers, many phones can support only a limited set of standardized codecs as the decode and playback functions are coupled with hardware capabilities in the phone in order to reduce power drain.

The obvious solution to this dilemma is to employ offline trans-coding solutions coupled with a Web 2.0 content management platform to convert the source content into a range of formats appropriate for the mobile devices and network access speed used by customers.

NoFollow Tag can be used on any site or Blog. If someone else is placing a link to your site or if you are linking to something shifty as an example of something shifty then that would be a good time to use the NoFollow tag.

Instead of linking to a site with

the link would now look like

a href="http://www.blackitsoft.com" rel="nofollow" Site

How will the NoFollow Tag Effect the Web?
Many bloggers have amazing link popularity due in part to comments they left on other blogs or web 2.0 applications . This will cause lots of blogs which were primarily connected by comments to lose a good bit of their link popularity.

Many automated blog spam scripts may work harder to find the blogs which are slow to change. While the number of spamable blogs will go down the value of effective blog spamming will go up. Bloggers will have a big riot celebrating this move. After time passes they will still get spammed and realize that this will not immediately cure the problem.

More bloggers will get approached with a bit of $$$ for writing editorials. More bloggers will sell out.

Some people who were posting useful and thoughtful comments in part to gain link popularity may post less often.

Some worry that people will abuse this NoFollow tag for SEO purposes, but those who would do that could just as easily use other redirects, so I really do not see any change there.

This change does make the role of link popularity (and how to keep it) much more visible. The keep your link popularity line of thinking may kill off a ton of natural linking, which in the end really does not help anyone. SEOs might rush off to make their own blogs. Certainly the editorial side can be handled on the cheap

Blog comments sure did make it easy to rank good about a year ago...

Web 2.0 Development Tools

The web 2.0 often seems more like a hack than a platform — it's amazing that developers are able to make web 2.0 applications do the things they do. This is especially true with Ajax raising the bar for interactivity, and sites turning into Web 2.0 applications instead of documents. They're out to make the web 2.0 a better platform.

Some future technologies that have them excited:

* HTML5 canvas
* Fast JavaScript — kicked off by Chrome, Firefox's TraceMonkey
* Web workers, giving web apps the ability to have background threads
* Desktop integration, such as Fluid, Prism, Adobe Air, and Titanium

As part of its efforts to improve the web as a platform, Many web 2.0 Development India company are working on an open web tools directory, as well as a variety of development projects.

Black Soft noted that Firebug blew away existing tools and set a new standard for web 2.0 development tools, providing a comprehensive set of tools in the browser itself. Other browsers have followed with IE8 and Safari 3.0 both providing good tools.

A web-based code editor that is intended to be a showcase for HTML 5. This project is still young, and it won't run on an flavor of IE for a while, but it looks very promising, there's not much on the web site about this type of project, but an announcement is due soon.

SEO vs SEM

Search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. have learnt to monetize this trend of search engine usage. On one hand, they search the Internet for the most relevant search result for the search query entered by the user and display them.

On the other hand, they also display a series of paid ads based on the keyword entered for search. These ads are chosen on the relevance of the keyword to the search query and the advertiser’s bid for the keyword, meaning the amount the advertiser is willing to pay for every click on his ads.

For every business, it helps to be on the first few pages of the search results. Research has proven that users are most likely to click on links that are displayed on page one of search results. Some users may go as far as the second or third page of search results, but it is not very common for users to look beyond the third page for the information, product, service or entertainment they are looking for. More often than not, if a user does not find what he is looking for in the first few pages, he is more likely to refine his search query than look further than first few pages. However, this is true for both the organic search results and online ads.
